Health, Safety & Environment Manager

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with all applicable occupational health, safety, environmental and fire protection regulations.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining occupational health and safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Conducting risk assessments and defining preventive and corrective actions to minimise workplace hazards.
• Organising and delivering safety training, awareness programmes and emergency‑preparedness activities.
• Investigating workplace incidents, accidents and near‑misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Coordinating emergency response plans, evacuation procedures and fire‑prevention measures.
• Managing personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and ensuring proper employee utilisation.
• Supporting and maintaining management systems in accordance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Cooperating with external authorities, auditors, service providers and regulatory bodies.
• Managing environmental protection activities, waste management and handling of hazardous substances.
• Ensuring operational reliability, maintenance and compliance of buildings, technical infrastructure and utility systems.
• Planning and supervising maintenance, renovation, modernisation and infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Facility Management, Engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in occupational health & safety, environmental or facility management within a manufacturing environment.
• At least 3–5 years of leadership experience, including team management, employee development and budget responsibility.
• Proven experience in the automotive industry; experience in wiring‑harness manufacturing is a strong asset.
• Strong knowledge of applicable health, safety, environmental and fire‑protection regulations.
• Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Solid understanding of facility operations, maintenance processes, technical infrastructure and building management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to work across all organisational levels.
