HSEQ Coordinator

About the role

Syngenta, a global agriculture company, is looking for an HSEQ Coordinator to support Operations and site management in HSE and Quality duties. The role directs and coordinates the site HSE and Quality management system, works with site teams to ensure compliance with site, company, regulatory and customer requirements, and promotes an HSE and Quality culture.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day contractor activities and field jobs, including work at height, and provide direction and control.
• Maintain the site Quality Management System, implement and verify Good Seed and Plant Practices (GSPP), and verify traceability, identity preservation and segregation.
• Monitor compliance with work instructions, SOPs, hygiene requirements and quality controls, and conduct quality audits, self-assessments and inspections.
• Manage quality deviations and nonconformities, including investigations, root-cause analysis and CAPA follow-up.
• Deliver quality and GSPP awareness training and coaching, and compile HSE and quality KPIs and trend analyses.
• Carry out HSE inspections, risk assessments and PTW supervision, and enforce safe work practices.
• Report unsafe acts, near misses, incidents and accidents, attend site meetings and report daily to the HSE Lead.
• Support the HSE and Quality Lead on HSE, Quality and GSPP issues and transfer knowledge to local manpower.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience in functional HSE and/or Quality roles, preferably in seed, plant or agricultural operations.
• Fluent in English.
• Leadership, field orientation, organisation and communication skills, ability to work in a team and handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft tools.
• Technical understanding of HSE, quality, GSPP, traceability and agricultural production processes.
