In-House Counsel (English & French Speaker)

About the role

The company seeks a bilingual (English and French) In‑House Counsel to provide legal and labor support across its operations in Morocco. You will act as the primary legal advisor on employment matters, contractual obligations, and general corporate law, while representing the organization in labor and criminal litigation when required.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Moroccan Labor Code (Law No. 65‑99) and monitor legislative updates.
• Represent the company before labor courts, the Labor Inspectorate, and other regulatory bodies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, vendor agreements, and other corporate documents.
• Coordinate with HR Business Partners, Compensation & Benefits, and Talent Acquisition on labor‑related cases and processes.
• Serve as the main legal liaison for senior leadership on vendor contracts and external counsel.
• Develop and deliver training programs on labor law compliance for HR professionals and line managers.
• Provide regular legal updates to HR and leadership teams.

Required profile

• Law degree with a strong background in Moroccan labor and employment law.
• Fluent in both English and French, written and spoken.
• Proven experience representing companies in labor litigation and handling disciplinary, grievance, and termination procedures.
• Ability to conduct legal research, draft opinions, and produce clear contractual documentation.
• Strong collaboration skills with HR, finance, and procurement functions.
