Investment Associate – Project Development – Transport and ICT

About the role

The Investment Associate will support the origination, evaluation, structuring and execution of transport and ICT infrastructure development investments within the Project Development Fund. Working under senior team members, the associate will manage analytical and transaction workstreams and help advance projects from screening to financial close.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sector, country, market, sponsor and policy research and monitor market trends.
• Assess potential opportunities against the mandate, strategy, impact objectives and risk‑return criteria.
• Build and maintain complex project finance models covering demand assumptions, revenue streams, capex, operating costs, financing structures, cash flows and sensitivity scenarios.
• Develop transaction structures for project development and equity investments, including PPPs, concessions and asset‑recycling models.
• Manage due‑diligence workstreams, coordinate with internal teams and external advisers, and track findings and actions.
• Review key project and transaction documents (concession agreements, EPC contracts, financing documents, government support arrangements) and summarise commercial and risk issues.
• Prepare opportunity notes, screening memoranda, investment committee papers, financial analyses, presentations, term sheets and related materials.
• Participate in negotiations and discussions with public authorities, sponsors, co‑developers and strategic partners.

• Ability to work under the guidance of senior team members.
• Interest in transport, logistics and digital infrastructure sectors.
• Familiarity with project finance concepts and investment evaluation.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
