Mesh CAD Technician – FE Mesh Creation for Automotive Seating

About the role

You are responsible for creating FE meshes used in finite‑element analysis to simulate components and complete systems in seat development. You ensure mesh quality, meet delivery deadlines, and work as an important member of the global Lear FEA team.

Key responsibilities

• Independent meshing of automotive seating parts (plastic, foam, structural) using HYPERMESH.
• Participate in selecting the appropriate meshing strategy (shell, solid).
• Manage incoming CAD data and verify its completeness.
• Communicate directly with the CAD department and FEA engineers.
• Perform geometry clean‑up and apply FE meshes to parts.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and meshing specifications.
• Collaborate internationally within the global FEA group.
• Deliver meshes on time for customers.

Required profile

• Baccalauréat + 2 years technical training.
• Technical qualification such as design draftsman or technical worker.
• Strong spatial sense and solid technical understanding.
• First experience with CAE tools or other 3D software.
• Ability to concentrate at a computer workstation.
• Willingness to learn and develop further.
• Motivated, flexible, team‑oriented work style.
• Proficiency with the MS Office package.
• Good English knowledge is welcome, not mandatory.
