Model-Based Design Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Delivery Center Morocco is looking for a Model-Based Design Engineer to join its automotive engineering teams. You will work on functional system models, generate embedded code, and ensure compliance with automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional system models in MATLAB/Simulink following Model‑Based Design principles.
• Create and maintain Simulink libraries and optimized software architectures.
• Automate repetitive tasks using MATLAB scripting and CI/CD pipelines.
• Compile, analyze, and debug C code generated from models in collaboration with integration teams.
• Perform MIL, SIL, and B2B testing to validate models and generated code.
• Participate in technical reviews to guarantee deliverable quality.
• Review functional specifications, maintain traceability matrices, and ensure requirements consistency.
• Identify and resolve anomalies in models or embedded code, working closely with cross‑functional teams.
• Use Git/GitHub for version control and produce rigorous technical documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Systems Engineering.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience in model‑based design or embedded software development.
• Very good command of English.

Required skills

• MATLAB/Simulink (including Model Advisor, Design Verifier)
• Git/GitHub for configuration management
• CANoe/CANalyzer for CAN network simulation
• C programming for embedded development
• Knowledge of UDS and OBD protocols (strong asset)
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety standards
• Understanding of AUTOSAR architecture
• Application of MISRA C guidelines
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
