Mold Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are a leading international automotive group seeking a skilled Mold Maintenance Technician to join our tooling department in Bouknadel. You will ensure the reliability and performance of molds used in high‑volume production, supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Handle molds with an overhead crane, disassemble, clean, and re‑assemble them.
• Replace or restore punches, dies, and gas springs; check nitrogen systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults and perform repairs using grinding machines, drills, welding equipment, and weld overlay/build‑up.
• Respond to breakdowns in production lines to restart operations quickly.
• Conduct mold try‑outs, analyze recurring issues (5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto) and propose modifications to improve setup time, productivity and quality.
• Manage work plans, set intervention priorities and coordinate tasks within the tooling department.
• Complete maintenance reports and manage spare parts and work orders in SAP and Wrike.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or qualification in mechanics, tooling or a related field.
• Proven experience as a mold maintenance technician, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Ability to read technical drawings and mold standards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and work‑order management tools.
• Problem‑solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Capability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
