Shift Leader – Press Operations (Automotive)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Shift Leader for our press line in the automotive sector. You will be responsible for coordinating the shift, ensuring smooth production, and maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the shift and independently manage production, including machine start‑up after quality approval.
• Perform die/mold setup and coil handling (uncoiler, cradle, straightener) with Poka‑Yoke verification.
• Record downtime causes, resolve machine stoppages, and manage scrap/waste evacuation.
• Ensure product traceability (batches, codes, markings) and oversee quality control activities such as Quality Totem completion and non‑conformity reporting.
• Identify Critical to Quality (CTQ) characteristics and manage non‑standard processes and special operations.
• Request and coordinate maintenance interventions on dies and machines.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a press operator or shift leader in the automotive sector.
• Solid knowledge of the stamping process and relevant quality standards.
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Familiarity with quality analysis tools: Pareto, Ishikawa (cause‑effect), and 5 Why.
• Strong autonomy, shift coordination skills, problem‑solving mindset, and attention to safety.
