About the role

The Faculty of Medical Sciences at UM6P is expanding its academic team and seeks qualified pharmacists for open‑rank faculty positions in various pharmaceutical science specialties. Candidates should indicate the specific profile they wish to be considered for.

Key responsibilities

• Teach lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in the pharmacy curriculum.
• Develop research activities in the candidate’s area of specialty.
• Supervise students and early‑career researchers.
• Contribute to the educational and scientific development of the discipline.
• Build collaborations with hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and academic partners.
• Help develop specialized training programs and assist in designing, accrediting, and launching future pharmacy specialty degrees.
• Participate in setting up clinical placement sites and partnerships.
• Take on academic and educational coordination roles as required by governing bodies.

Required profile

• Doctorate in pharmacy (PharmD) with a specialist qualification relevant to the chosen profile (industrial pharmacy, clinical/hospital pharmacy, medical laboratory sciences, or pharmacology/pharmacodynamics).
• Relevant experience in academia, hospital practice, clinical laboratories, or industry.
• Aptitude for university‑level teaching and supervision.
• Research record appropriate to the level of the position.
• Ability to help build and develop the discipline.
• Experience supervising residents or interns, designing curricula, accrediting programs, managing quality assurance, or coordinating academic programs is an advantage.
