Postdoctoral Researcher in Inorganic Chemistry

About the role

The Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering department (CBS) of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified researcher for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Inorganic Chemistry. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the department's research initiatives and support its mission of research excellence and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and carry out research projects in inorganic chemistry, covering materials synthesis or catalysis
• Synthesize and characterise inorganic compounds or materials using techniques such as X-ray diffraction, NMR spectroscopy and electron microscopy
• Analyse experimental data, interpret results and help develop new hypotheses and research directions
• Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within the department and with external partners

Required profile

• PhD in Chemistry, specialising in inorganic chemistry or a closely related field
• Strong research record with publications in reputable international journals
• Proven ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and external partners
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; French is a plus
• Alignment with UM6P's focus on entrepreneurship
