Quality Manager - Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Manager develops, implements and maintains the plant's Quality Management System so that it complies with automotive industry standards, customer requirements and internal procedures. The role improves product and process quality, enhances customer satisfaction, reduces quality costs and drives continuous improvement across all manufacturing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System according to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, lead internal, external and customer audits, and coordinate certification and surveillance audits.
• Act as the main contact for customers on quality matters, manage complaints using the 8D methodology, monitor PPM, customer claims and warranty costs, and run corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure product and process conformity, monitor scrap, rework, rejection and FTQ rates, and work with Production and Engineering to prevent quality issues.
• Lead root cause analysis, and support suppliers through audits, evaluations, qualification and non-conformity management.
• Integrate quality into new product development, supervise APQP and PPAP, validate manufacturing processes before mass production and take part in project reviews.
• Manage and develop the Quality Department team, set objectives, identify training needs and promote a strong quality culture.
