Quality Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

This senior Quality Manager position oversees the Quality Management System (QMS) in an automotive manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and statutory requirements. The role reports to executive management and acts as a central interface with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, including C-level executives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the quality strategy, including objectives, KPIs and their sustainable achievement
• Lead, develop and empower employees within the quality function and promote a high-performance quality culture
• Ensure stable production processes and continuous improvement of product and process quality in series production
• Manage customer and supplier quality, complaints, audits and non-conformities, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions
• Approve and safeguard processes, products and changes (e.g., sampling, engineering changes)
• Monitor quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement via Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen
• Ensure robust quality processes across the value chain, from incoming goods to delivery, and manage internal and external audits, test concepts and validation procedures
• Act as Product Safety & Conformity Representative (PSCR), with authority to stop production and delivery in case of critical quality deviations
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO standards)

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, optionally a Master's, in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field
• At least 10 years of professional experience in quality management within automotive manufacturing
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing international teams
• Experience in customer and supplier quality, audits and complaint handling
• Fluent French and English; additional languages such as German are a plus
• Availability for business travel
