Restaurant Manager - Avenue Inaouin, Rabat

About the role

A Marriott International hotel in Rabat (Avenue Inaouin, Agdal) is hiring a full-time Restaurant Manager. The role covers restaurants, bars and room service, supervising daily operations, supporting menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards and helping servers and hosts during peak meal periods. The goal is to improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximise financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage employees, understand their positions and cover their duties in their absence
• Maintain service and sanitation standards in the restaurant, bar/lounge and room service areas
• Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational and financial objectives
• Lead the food and beverage team, coach and mentor staff, and set clear expectations and goals
• Ensure compliance with food and beverage policies, food handling and sanitation standards, and local liquor laws, including monitoring alcohol service
• Deliver exceptional customer service, handle guest complaints and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Manage human resources: set performance standards, run training programmes, treat employees fairly and improve retention
• Oversee the financial aspects of the department, including purchasing and invoice payments
• Assist servers and hosts during busy periods and supervise shifts in the absence of the Assistant Restaurant Manager

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year accredited degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related profession, or 2 years of experience with a degree
