Senior Automation Test Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Morocco is looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join its high‑performance engineering ecosystem. You will work on cutting‑edge automotive and embedded projects, designing automated test solutions that validate complex ECU software across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain system‑level test cases using Robot Framework and Python keyword libraries.
• Validate test results against DLT traces, device logs, SSH command output (Linux, RichOS, QNX), diagnostic responses and cloud‑side APIs.
• Integrate test execution with Jira/Xray (Cloud) and own CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Artifactory) covering flashing, coding, test execution and reporting.
• Set up, configure and troubleshoot HIL/standalone test benches, manage ECU wiring, power control and network access.
• Flash and code ECUs, handle software builds and variants, perform DoIP/UDS diagnostics and work with CAN/Ethernet vehicle bus interfaces.
• Diagnose failures across the full stack and correctly attribute root causes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in engineering, specializing in embedded systems.
• 3–8 years of professional experience in testing, preferably in automotive or embedded domains.

Required skills

• Python programming (clean, maintainable code).
• Robot Framework – building libraries and writing keywords.
• ALM tools: Jira, Confluence, Xray.
• CI/CD: GitLab CI (or Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and disciplined Git branching.
• Embedded/automotive expertise: ECU flashing, coding, UDS/DoIP diagnostics, DLT logging, Linux and QNX shell fluency.
• Connectivity: HTTP/REST, MQTT, proxies, TLS/certificates, OAuth tokens, network debugging.
