Senior Java / Kotlin Backend Developer

About the role

Mindera is looking for an experienced Kotlin/Java backend developer to join its Engineering team. You will work in an Agile, collaborative environment, taking ownership of technical design and delivering high‑quality, scalable backend solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust backend services using Kotlin or Java.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.
• Lead complex engineering projects and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure security, performance and reliability of identity‑related services.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on software development experience.
• Strong backend engineering background with Kotlin or Java.
• Experience with Micronaut or similar frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Background in identity teams (authentication, authorisation, SSO/OAuth).
• Proven track record of leading complex projects and excellent communication skills.
