About the role

As a Senior Medical Representative you will champion AstraZeneca’s portfolio within an assigned territory, building scientific relationships with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. You will combine strategic planning with ethical, data‑driven communication to drive product awareness and adoption.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales managers to design and execute territory sales plans.
  • Achieve or exceed sales forecasts while managing budgets for therapeutic and territorial objectives.
  • Apply AstraZeneca’s marketing and medical promotion strategies across assigned regions and products.
  • Conduct regular, high‑quality medical visits to inform healthcare professionals about product indications and clinical benefits.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date interaction records and doctor profiles using CRM tools such as Veeva.
  • Organise and manage promotional meetings (RLM, ROM) ensuring efficient use of promotional budgets.
  • Deliver personalized, scientifically accurate messages aligned with physicians’ prescribing behaviour.
  • Monitor competitor activity and local market dynamics to refine promotional strategy.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for medical information, pharmacovigilance, and marketing feedback.
  • Uphold ethical relationships with healthcare professionals and AstraZeneca’s professional values.

Required profile

  • Strong scientific background and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with healthcare professionals.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to patient‑focused outcomes.
  • Experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales is preferred.

  • Proficiency with Veeva CRM or similar customer‑relationship tools.
  • Medical promotion and scientific communication.
  • Budget management and sales forecasting.
  • Market analysis and competitor monitoring.
