Senior Receptionist

About the role

The Senior Receptionist will lead the front‑desk team on a luxury, five‑star ship, delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position combines guest‑relations expertise with supervisory responsibilities in a high‑end hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outstanding guest service at the reception desk, handling enquiries, requests and complaints promptly.
• Supervise day‑to‑day reception activities and coordinate with Guest Relations, finance, and shore concierge teams.
• Maintain accurate communication flow between reception, finance, and other ship departments.
• Manage embarkation and debarkation procedures as required.
• Conduct regular inventories of guest‑relations equipment.
• Prepare and submit the reception team schedule for manager approval.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a front‑desk or receptionist role within an international 5‑star or luxury establishment.
• Fluent English (verbal and written) with conversational ability in at least two additional languages (e.g., German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin).
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Strong hospitality mindset with a proactive, sincere approach to guest interactions.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with the Fidelio property‑management system.
