Senior Research Associate – Education Impact Evaluation

About the role

The Morocco Innovation and Evaluation Lab (MEL) is seeking a Senior Research Associate to lead and coordinate an impact evaluation of education policies in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports. Based at the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic campus, you will work with an international team of leading researchers to generate rigorous evidence for policy decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and supervise field‑based impact evaluations in the education sector.
• Coordinate data collection, management, and analysis activities.
• Develop and test methodological innovations in collaboration with principal investigators.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with partner organizations, including government ministries and NGOs.
• Prepare technical reports, policy briefs, and academic publications.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PhD or Master) in economics, education, public policy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing large‑scale impact evaluations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with international researchers and local stakeholders.
