Senior R&I Project Manager

About the role

The Senior R&I Project Manager drives open innovation activities, selects and manages collaborative projects, and ensures successful transfer of innovations to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technology watch, identify future key technologies and assess innovation opportunities.
• Select and engage partners such as start‑ups, academic labs and technology providers, defining collaborative development schemes.
• Define project objectives, targets and milestones; allocate work‑packages and manage internal and external team members.
• Facilitate creativity sessions, design‑thinking cycles, rapid prototyping and proof‑of‑concept activities.
• Validate deliverables, protect intellectual property and capitalize project outcomes.
• Ensure smooth transfer of projects to business units and promote Valeo values, culture and standards.

Required profile

• Proactive in technology scouting and partner assessment.
• Strong ability to motivate teams, encourage risk‑taking and accept failures when needed.
• Customer‑oriented, able to collect user feedback and feed the innovation pipeline.
• Ensures compliance with open‑innovation procedures and IP protection policies.
