Senior/Lead Java Developer – eCommerce Platform

About the role

A big US-based retail company serves millions of omnichannel customers each week through an eCommerce platform built by several Product Teams (Customer, Loyalty, Search and Browse, Data Integration, Cart). The project aims to modernize, maintain and develop the platform, with current priorities of onboarding new brands, re-architecture, database migrations and moving microservices to a unified cloud-native solution without disrupting business. The company is looking for an experienced Java Developer to help migrate the client platform.

Key responsibilities

• Onboard quickly to the customer's processes
• Develop new features in Java and Kotlin for Spring Boot microservices and maintain existing ones
• Improve personalized search and modernize data ingestion for faster searching and indexing
• Ensure cloud readiness and integrate Azure APIM and Gateway
• Collaborate with other teams and the client to find the best solutions

Required profile

• At least 5 years of work experience, including enterprise backend system design
• Strong knowledge of Java/Kotlin and familiarity with Spring/Spring Boot
• Deep understanding of enterprise application architecture patterns
• Experience with distributed systems and microservice architecture
• Good knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL
• Adoption of Agile and DevOps culture
• English at B2 level or higher; readiness to work until 8.00 pm CET
