System Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a System Development Engineer to design functional architectures for Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) and drive the development of advanced braking functions. You will work closely with system engineering and vehicle development teams to ensure robust, safe, and high‑performance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design functional architectures for Vehicle Motion Control.
• Manage system and functional requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with system engineering, vehicle development, and external OEM partners.
• Execute testing and validation activities, including SiL, HiL, and vehicle testing.
• Integrate functional safety requirements in compliance with ISO 26262.
• Coordinate development activities and ensure alignment with ASPICE processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Automotive Engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience developing braking functions and systems.
• Strong expertise in vehicle dynamics and control engineering.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation.
• Good knowledge of Systems Engineering, ASPICE, and ISO 26262 standards.
• Ability to lead and coordinate development activities.
• Fluent in English and German.
