Waiter (Chef de Rang) - Rabat Marriott Hotel

About the role

The Rabat Marriott Hotel is looking for a waiter (Chef de Rang) to serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. The role covers table setting, guest service, communication with the kitchen and end-of-shift closing duties.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests and set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Answer questions about menu selections and communicate menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders and product availability to the kitchen.
• Pass on meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen.
• Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order and check in with guests to confirm satisfaction with each course and beverage.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china and glassware, and complete closing duties such as restocking and turning off lights.
• Present the check accurately, process payment and welcome guests according to company standards.
• Follow company and safety policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and keep proprietary information confidential.
• Assist guests with disabilities and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and move over uneven surfaces and stairs.
