ASD Tug Boat Master – Tanger Med II Port

About the role

Svitzer Tanger Med is seeking an experienced ASD Tug Boat Master to command a tug at Tanger Med II Port, Morocco. You will lead a crew in safe, efficient port towage operations, contributing to the smooth flow of global trade.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage the ASD tugboat in compliance with safety standards and Svitzer policies.
• Supervise crew activities, schedule shifts, and ensure crew readiness.
• Prepare and maintain operational and safety reports.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to crew members.
• Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 1st Class Master Certificate of Competency (Moroccan nationality required).
• Proven experience operating ASD tugs in port towage.
• Fluency in Arabic, French, and English.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
• Residence within one hour of Tanger Med II Port.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with MS Office.
