Project Support Intern – Migration, Development & Governance

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a motivated intern to support its Migration, Development and Governance (MDG) programme in Morocco. Working under the supervision of the Head of Programme and the MDG Programme Officer, the intern will assist with the planning, implementation and monitoring of MDG projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support to MDG projects according to a weekly task schedule.
• Assist in project development activities, including drafting work plans and preparing briefing notes.
• Support data collection, analysis and reporting for project progress and outcomes.
• Coordinate with thematic focal points to ensure alignment of activities across the MDG unit.
• Help organize meetings, workshops and events related to migration, development and governance.

Required profile

• Between 20 and 36 years of age.
• Less than two years of relevant work experience.
• Enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s programme or graduated within the last 12 months.
• Strong interest in migration, development and governance issues.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, international environment.
