Advanced Quality and Laboratory Coordinator

About the role

Lear Corporation is looking for an Advanced Quality and Laboratory Coordinator based in Tangier. The role supervises the team of Advanced Quality Engineers and the laboratory, controls quality deliverables and customer-related quality issues, and ensures compliance with customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the team of Advanced Quality Engineers and the laboratory.
• Control and validate Quality APQP deliverables in Profile / LearPro, and control the development and update of the control plan.
• Control the submission of eAPQP to customers and the preparation of special characteristic supplements (K / SCSS).
• Control laboratory (internal and USCAR) activities and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Follow up customer scorecards and solve customer claims on warranty, prototypes and pre-serial production.
• Control internal defect analysis for prototypes and the implementation of engineering changes.
• Support the preparation of internal deviations and encourage the team to propose solutions and remove roadblocks.
• Take part in the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and in self-assessments such as Manufacturing Site Assessments and new RFQs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (Bac+5) with at least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with team members across a wide scope of the organization.
• Good English and French communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management standards.
• Problem-solving tools: Ishikawa, 8D, 5Why, Pareto.
• Quality core tools: Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP.
• Team management skills.
