Butler – Luxury Cruise Line (Worldwide)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Butler to deliver ultra‑luxury, personalized service to guests aboard a worldwide cruise line. The successful candidate will maintain guest suites to the highest standards, anticipate individual preferences, and ensure seamless in‑suite experiences throughout the voyage.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain guest suites according to personal preferences and company standards.
• Coordinate in‑suite services such as dining, amenities, housekeeping support, laundry, packing/unpacking, shoeshine, and special requests.
• Maintain accurate guest history records and communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
• Assist guests with reservations for restaurants, spa treatments, shore excursions, and private tours.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, inventory control, and public‑health compliance in suites, pantries, and assigned areas.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of Butler or guest‑facing service experience in a luxury environment.
• Fluent English (verbal and written) and conversational proficiency in at least one additional language (e.g., German, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, etc.).
• Professional Butler or luxury service certification (e.g., International Butler Academy).
• Strong emotional intelligence, resourceful thinking, and knowledge of conflict resolution.
• Experience working on a cruise ship or in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.

Required skills

• Mastery of formal dining etiquette, silver service, and in‑suite fine‑dining presentation.
• Deep understanding of VIP, celebrity, and high‑net‑worth guest expectations.
