Director of Operations – Hotel Management

About the role

The Director of Operations will act as the strategic business leader for a full‑service hotel, overseeing all core departments including Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Engineering. Reporting to senior ownership, the role is responsible for aligning operational execution with the brand’s service standards, driving revenue growth, and ensuring financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement property‑wide operational strategies that support brand objectives and deliver superior guest experiences.
• Lead department heads to ensure consistent execution across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Recreation, and Engineering.
• Monitor profitability, analyze service issues, and make data‑driven decisions to keep the hotel on target.
• Track revenue performance against budget, manage occupancy, rates, wages, and controllable expenses.
• Champion the brand’s service vision, communicate clear departmental goals, and foster alignment among leadership teams.
• Review guest feedback, initiate corrective actions, and continuously improve the guest experience.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven leadership in hotel operations, with a strong track record of driving profitability and revenue growth.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret financial statements and performance metrics.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of building positive owner and guest relationships.
