Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations leads the strategic business functions of the Marriott hotel in Fes. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, this role oversees all operational departments to ensure brand standards, guest satisfaction, and financial performance are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the brand’s business goals, covering Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Engineering.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze service trends, and make decisions to drive profitability and revenue growth.
• Lead department heads, coach teams on occupancy, rates, wages, and controllable expenses, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Oversee guest experience by reviewing feedback, handling complaints, and maintaining high service standards across rooms and F&B areas.
• Manage human‑resource activities, including performance reviews, staff communication, fair policy enforcement, and fostering a culture of excellent service.

Required profile

• Either a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management (or related) with 4 years relevant experience, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 2 years relevant experience.
• Proven experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing, or management operations within a hotel environment.
