Legal Counsel – Compliance (Global)

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Legal Counsel (Compliance) to join its global legal team. You will work closely with the Head of Legal Compliance, providing pragmatic advice to high‑risk country offices and supporting the development of compliance frameworks across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality legal and regulatory advice to country offices and global teams.
• Support the Head of Legal Compliance in strategy, annual planning, and rollout of compliance frameworks.
• Represent the legal team in cross‑functional meetings and committees.
• Provide updates to the Audit & Risk Committee on legal compliance matters.
• Assist during humanitarian emergencies or crises, adapting working hours as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in compliance and regulatory matters.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours during emergencies.
