Legal Counsel – Compliance

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Legal Counsel (Compliance) to join its global legal team. You will work closely with the Head of Legal Compliance, providing pragmatic legal advice and helping to develop compliance frameworks across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality legal and regulatory advice to Country Offices and Global Teams.
• Support the Head of Legal Compliance with strategy, annual planning and rollout of compliance frameworks.
• Advise senior stakeholders on legal, regulatory and compliance matters.
• Represent the Legal Team in cross‑functional meetings and committees.
• Provide updates to the Audit & Risk Committee on legal compliance issues.
• Assist in emergency or crisis situations, adapting working hours as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in compliance and regulatory matters.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations teams and senior leaders.
• Strong analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Right to work in the country of assignment for the contract duration.
• Fluent English.
