Receptionist – Guest Services on Cruise Ship

About the role

We are looking for a professional Receptionist to deliver exceptional guest services aboard a luxury cruise ship. You will be the first point of contact for passengers, ensuring their needs are met with efficiency, hospitality, and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑desk assistance and coordinate guest requests, enquiries and complaints promptly.
• Maintain continuous communication with the Guest Relations Manager and other ship departments.
• Handle financial transactions such as cash payments, foreign‑currency exchange, credit‑card authorisations and cash advances, reconciling cash at the end of each cruise.
• Manage daily reception duties including RSVP invitations, mailing services, DVD/CD rentals, newspaper distribution, restaurant reservations and wake‑up calls.
• Follow company Standard Operating Procedures and uphold high service standards.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in guest‑facing or front‑desk roles at an international 5‑star or luxury establishment.
• Strong moral integrity and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written); additional proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, German or French is highly desirable.
• Adaptable, quick‑thinking, well‑organized, self‑motivated and capable of handling multiple demands.

Required skills
