Senior Software Developer - Java Spring Boot & React

About the role

IDEMIA Public Security develops and customizes the MBIS (Multi-Biometric Identification System), a product used by police forces and ministries worldwide. Its Casablanca Nearshore R&D team works on this product, and as a Senior Software Developer you will join a 12-person team, turning functional requirements into software solutions that comply with design specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance software solutions that meet functional and technical requirements.
• Analyze requirements, contribute to estimations and take part in architecture and technology choices.
• Develop complex modules following software development best practices (quality, security, testing, deployment).
• Optimize performance, resolve complex technical issues and document solutions properly.
• Contribute to technical governance and support or coach a small team of developers.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or validated academic background in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Fluent French and professional working proficiency in English.
• Leadership, strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to changing environments.
