Tech Lead Software Engineer - Java & React

About the role

IDEMIA, a global identity technology company, is hiring a Tech Lead Software Engineer for its Casablanca Nearshore R&D team. The team develops and customizes MBIS, a multi-biometric identification system used by police forces and ministries worldwide. As technical lead of a team of 10 people (developers, QA engineers, Product Owner and Scrum Master), you will work on the Java back end and React front end and guide the team through design, development and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to a team of developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Design, develop and maintain Java back-end and React front-end applications.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to plan and deliver features.
• Coach the team on coding standards and software design principles.
• Organize knowledge-sharing sessions, code walkthroughs, technical demos and documentation to reduce dependency on individual experts.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in software development.
• Fluent French and working proficiency in English.
• Strong leadership, communication, adaptability, attention to detail and teamwork.

Required skills

• Expertise in Java back-end development (Java SE/EE, Spring, microservices).
• React and front-end development.
• Full-stack knowledge covering architecture, integration, databases and CI/CD.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
