Virtual Statistical Validation Engineer (ADAS/L2-L3)

About the role

Stellantis is looking for a Virtual Statistical Validation Engineer to join its Software Organization (SWx), which is building automated driving capabilities and transforming the customer experience. The engineer works on Statistical Validation and Functional Reprocessing for L2-L3 test activities, validating the statistical requirements of L2+/L3 features by identifying inputs to vary and creating logical scenarios. The position is based in Casablanca, Morocco.

Key responsibilities

• Create test cases for statistical validation and run them through local simulations and toolchains
• Write test cases in Python and debug and resolve test issues with the required tools
• Evaluate new pipelines entering the company
• Provide structured feedback to the team lead and help the team resolve problems for new statistical test cases

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university
• 2+ years of experience in software DevOps or CI/CD
• Proven experience using simulators or commercial simulation tools for ADAS/AD
• 3 years of proactive coding in C++ and Python
• Demonstrated knowledge of software testing toolsets and languages
• English at C1 level (fluency)

Preferred qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of ADAS/Autonomous Driving features and their electronic architectures
• Experience with JSON, OpenScenario and OpenDrive scenario files
• Experience using a simulator's API in Python
• Knowledge of Software and Hardware-in-the-loop test platforms
• 3+ years in AD scenario-based simulation, preferably open source
• Familiarity with Docker, Airflow and Jenkins; C++ and QEMU emulation test experience
• Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, Carsim
