Outlet Manager - Food and Beverage

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring a full-time Outlet Manager in Fes, Morocco, covering restaurants, bars and room service. The manager supervises daily restaurant operations, supports menu planning, keeps sanitation standards and helps servers and hosts during peak meal periods, while improving guest and employee satisfaction and maximizing financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage employees, understand their roles and cover them in their absence
• Maintain service and sanitation standards in the restaurant, bar/lounge and room service areas
• Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational and financial objectives
• Lead the food and beverage team, coach and mentor staff, and set clear goals and expectations
• Ensure compliance with food and beverage policies, laws and regulations, and with food handling and sanitation standards
• Monitor alcohol beverage service in line with local laws
• Deliver exceptional customer service, handle guest complaints and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Manage human resources: set performance standards, run training programs, treat employees fairly and improve retention
• Oversee the financial aspects of the department, including purchasing and invoice payments
• Assist servers and hosts during busy periods and supervise shifts in the absence of the Assistant Restaurant Manager

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related profession, or 2 years of experience with a relevant degree
